It was always predestined for the Fitch brothers to attend Elyria Catholic High School. Their older half-brother Dr. Michael Lappi graduated in 1985 and his younger brothers were soon to follow in his Panther footsteps.
Prior to their high school careers, Jay ‘04, Jonathan ‘06, and Joe ‘08 attended St. Mary’s School in Elyria. Once getting to high school level, Jay, Jonathan, and Joe all succeeded in academics as well as athletics.
Throughout high school, they all built solid relationships with their teammates from various sports teams with whom they remain close with today.
Over the past 12 years, Jon has taken a golf trip to many different states with EC friends while Joe golfs in the annual Elyria Catholic Golf Classic with fellow EC alumni.
Jay attended Northwood University in Michigan where he played baseball, Division II. He went back to Kent State for a degree in Business Management and Marking and then earned his MBA from CSU in Finance & Accounting. He recently took a new position with Eaton Crop as a Lead Analyst in Corporate Reporting and Analysis.
Jonathan attended Miami University earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Management Information Systems. After a gap year in a corporate leadership program spent skiing in Vale, he returned home to earn his CPA license and worked for Barnes Wending CPAs. In 2017, Jon transitioned to BDO UK and now works for BDO USA.
Joseph completed his undergraduate degree at Baldwin Wallace University where he majored in Finance and minored in Accounting and Healthcare Management. He has been working for Sherwin Williams for the past ten years where he is currently the Operations Manager.
When asked if he had any advice for current Elyria Catholic students, Joe said “appreciate the time that you’re there. Have no regrets and work hard. It goes by too quick.”
