April 1, 2022Michael Uehlein returned to Elyria Catholic in early March to share his EC Story and beyond with President Annie Heidersbach. After a few short moments, it soon became clear how much Michael cherished the friendships he developed during his years at EC, as he began to tell story after story. Those strong EC connections have continued to this day as he remains close with so many of his friends.
Michael went on to share how he found his passion for running over the past couple of years. This journey that began out of a need to help himself and others has led Michael on the road to the Boston Marathon on April 18, 2022. He shared with us a video that is included below which details how his Mom's illness put him on this path of exploration and allowed him to become a part of something greater.
"The amount of positive messages and support I’ve received from the Elyria Catholic family has truly been amazing. I’m so proud to be a part of this community and so happy to see that our motto “loyalty that never dies” is still VERY alive and well. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and I will be thinking of all of you as I cross that Boston finish line on April 18th.”
