Lucy Rothgery

Mr. Juguilon nominated this student, saying that she consistently demonstrates her keen mind in class.  Whether approaching the content of her class or examining the arguments in Socratic Club, she uses her analytical powers to evaluate the ideas presented to her and asks critical questions.  The quality of her questions demonstrates that she takes the topic seriously, which earned her an excellent grade in theology.  And her excellent grades extend to all of her classes.  

Ms. Brickman adds that this student is great in class. She always participates and asks questions.  She is not afraid to to truly be herself, and she is always willing to stand up for what she believes in.  As the freshmen class president, she demonstrates leadership and school spirit.  She is willing to do anything she can to better herself and the school.

The recipient of the Pillar of Excellence Award at the freshman level is Lucy Rothgery
