December 16, 2020The friends and family of Elyria Catholic graduate John D. Lescher '91 have come together to create The John Lescher Family Scholarship Fund. Johnny Lescher was a tri-captain of the EC football team in 1990 and a graduate of The Ohio State University. John married Shanna and had two sons, Johnny and Jacob. John opened and operated several local Jersey Mike franchises. He was known for his infectious spirit, humility, and ambition. His family would like to make an annual award to an incoming EC freshman who most mirrors these qualities. The goal is to reach a $10,000 investment to endow this scholarship.
