Ms. Fisher says that our sophomore recipient is quiet at times in class, but he knows the content inside and out. He has one of the highest grades in class because he takes it seriously and puts in the work both during class as well as afterward.
Coach Fox adds that when we define excellence in leadership, we say that the root of it is in consistency. This student has been the model of consistency in his effort in the weight room and practice field. An unwavering force, he’s constantly pushing himself and others around him towards greatness day in and day out. The ability to be great starts with the discipline to focus your energy on what needs done, independent of whether you feel like it or not, and because this student has embodied that since stepping onto our campus, he has never fallen short of excellence.
The recipient of the Pillar of Excellence Award at the sophomore level is Emilio Monge.
