An acronym standing for “Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe”, B.R.A.K.E.S. was started in 2008 by former world champion drag racer Doug Herbert following the deaths of his two boys in a reckless driving incident.
The B.R.A.K.E.S. curriculum includes training in crash avoidance, the dangers of distracted driving, drop wheel/off-road recovery, and panic stop recovery exercises.
This free defensive driving program is coming to Cleveland on September 28th and 29th and will be hosted by Lorain County Community College.
