May 19, 2021The recipient of the Pillar of Community award at the senior level is Athena Campagna. Athena is very committed to making our community a better place. Here at EC, she is an ambassador, tennis player, and swimmer. She also assisted in getting our new boys' tennis program off the ground. Athena looks out for others by working as a lifeguard in the summer. In her spare time, Athena volunteers at Gigi's Playhouse, which is a therapeutic and educational center for children with Down's Syndrome. Athena also has spent time knitting over 250 hats for homeless shelters and baby hospitals. She aims for sustainability in our environment by making items, such as totes, out of plastic grocery bags. This student cares about the world and the people around her and is an outstanding representative of the Pillar of Community.
