Class of 2022: We are so excited to welcome the Class of 2022 to Elyria Catholic! Our incoming freshmen have several activities in the coming month that will help as they transition to high school:
- Freshman Welcome Meetings: There is still time to sign up for the meetings with Mrs. Lester and Mrs. Ziegelmeyer! If you still need to sign up for a meeting, please email Mrs. Ziegelmeyer at [email protected].
- Freshman Family Picnic: The picnic is scheduled for Thursday, August 16 beginning at 5:30 p.m. near the pavilion by the football field. All of our incoming freshmen and their families are welcome to attend! Everyone is also invited to stay after the picnic and cheer on our football players during their scrimmage that evening. An email with additional details will be sent in early August.
- Freshman Orientation: Freshman Orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Students are asked to wear their Class of 2022 t-shirts (these will be handed out at the picnic) with jeans or school appropriate shorts. Lunch will be provided. Students will have the opportunity to walk through their schedules, meet other incoming freshmen, and learn more about Elyria Catholic.
Student Ambassadors: Our ambassadors have been very busy this summer volunteering at local festivals and events! The ambassador t-shirts will be available for pick up beginning Monday, 7/30. Ambassadors may stop by during the summer when the office is open to pick up their t-shirts, or they may pick them up after school starts. Ambassadors should watch for the next email regarding August activities that will be sent out next week.
Summer News: Our students have been very busy this summer! Many have attended unique camps, volunteered or completed service project, and traveled to unusual locations. We love hearing about what our students have been doing over their summer break! We will be highlighting these students on a bulletin board again this year.
