Nathan Peloquin was nominated by Mrs. Heidersbach. For years, as he has grown from grade school to high school, she has observed and been inspired by this altar server in her home parish who clearly reveals his faith. He serves frequently, shows attention to the celebrant's needs, responds vocally to the liturgical dialogue and prayers, and displays a worshipful posture and demeanor. Nathan serves with a reverence that is often absent among young altar servers. She often has thought that his outward reverence undoubtedly reflects his inward faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Moreover, unlike many grade school altar servers, Nathan continues to honor the Lord and our faith in altar server-ministry. She is full of pride that he represents Elyria Catholic and is committed to our pillar of Faith in the larger community at St. Mary Parish, Elyria. This young man serves as a role model, honoring and showing his faith in the Lord, while contributing to the greater good of the Church.
We congratulate, Nathan Peloquin as the Pillar of Faith Award winner at the sophomore level.
