Founders’ Day On September 17, 1947, under the care, and inspired leadership of Monsignor William Newton, 19 students attended their first day of classes at the newly formed Elyria District Catholic High School. Over seventy years later on September 17, 2020, we are delighted to celebrate our founders and all of us who have benefited from their vision with our inaugural Founders’ Day Celebration.
Founders’ Day will be celebrated in three distinct manners.
First, students will engage in on-campus historical activities.
Second, our website and social media channels will recognize those founders who have established our institution and those who continue to provide ongoing opportunities for our students.
Third, we will host our 3rd Annual Giving Day from 7am to 7pm.
A Legacy of Caring Our founders, alumni, parents, and friends established and nurtured a culture of caring that has continued for over seventy years. In 2020, our faculty and staff are caring in extraordinary ways for our students, our students are caring for others through service, and more alumni are coming forward to support our students. EC Cares!
Please mark your calendar for EC Founders’ Day, a day of Celebration, Caring, and Giving on September 17, 2020.
