Natalie Fischer '17, a regular on the Elyria Catholic stage, recently graduated from Butler University with a B.A. in Theatre with Distinction and a minor in Sociology. Natalie was also awarded the Warrick Award, given to a senior displaying compassion and humility over their four year tenure in the theater department of the Jordan College of the Arts. During her time at Butler, Natalie wrote and directed a play called Trigger Warning, about how women in college deal with trauma within their brain, specifically sexual assault, domestic abuse, eating disorders, and body dysmorphia. Natalie appeared in many Butler University productions including Suessical the Musical, The Mineola Twins, andThe Wolves. Natalie also served as the Artistic Director for the student run theater company on campus called Sandbox Student Productions. Natalie is heading to New York to pursue a career in acting and directing and plans to be involved in theater outreach programs that address social justice issues. Natalie says, "My biggest takeaways from the Elyria Catholic Performing Arts Program were leadership and friendship!"
