Christian Service Requirements
The Elyria Catholic community holds service to be a value and a high priority. Service to others is, in fact, living out the Gospel message and something we are all called to do throughout our lives.

In the words of Jesus "Anyone who wants to be great among you must be your servant...just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mt. 20:26-28)
With the above mentioned attitude in mind, we ask that each student perform service hours that meet a criteria.
Each year students learn about the value of giving back to the community through the practice of a variety of corporal works of mercy. They include: Christmas on Campus, holiday activities through the Elyria parks and Rec. Department, the Relay for life, Camp Progress, Special projects that support Blessing House childrens crisis shelter, just to name a few.
